1. Wayne Schimmelbusch (306 games, North Melbourne)
Mr 110% in everything he did on the field. Tough, quick, courageous and a great leader with a never-say-die attitude. He had everyone's respect for the way he played the game.EQUAL WITH 2. Bruce Doull (356 games, Carlton) The equal of everything that I've said about "Schimma". What I liked most about these guys was they were never beaten, no matter what the score was, and they always treated people with respect.3. Michael Tuck (426 games, Hawthorn) I think the AFL games record speaks for itself, but playing on him was as tough as it got. He had enormous endurance and an uncanny ability to get the ball while keeping his opponent kickless.4. Michael Turner (245 games, Geelong) We would normally be pitted against each other and had fantastic battles as we both covered so much territory. You know you had been playing after chasing him all day. He was highly skilled, extremely fair and a great opponent.5. Leon Harris (186 games, Fitzroy) He was my most difficult tagger and was relentless in not allowing his opponent to get a kick (which he did to me on a number of occasions). Dogged but fair in doing his job.
