Sunday August 24, 2008
THE road to Beijing was long and arduous and the rewards slim, but Angie Darby's attitude earned admiration and will hopefully bring a shot at redemption in London 2012.

A Positive Attitude Can Help Ease The Most Difficult Of Times

Monday August 18, 2008
Optimism in the face of adversity can bring a new perspective on life. VERY few people profoundly affect how we view life. That's why I feel lucky to have come across two people who are both, in their own way, exemplars of the art of achieving a happy, fulfilled life. Although, they have never met, one person is a living example of the other person's life work.

A Bridge To Riesling

Saturday August 16, 2008
Growing up in the cool-climate wine region of Coal River in Tassie, then years later working vintage in Austria, helped shape Anna Pooley's attitude towards riesling. And thank goodness. Respect For The Young

Wednesday August 6, 2008
SOCIETY often seems to have a schizophrenic attitude to providing recreational facilities for young people. Complaints are loud when no facilities exist but they can get even louder when it's proposed to spend public money on creating some. In the Hunter in recent weeks this dual viewpoint has been on display in the debate over Newcastle City Council's Loft youth venue and InZine magazine and again in discussions at Lake Macquarie City Council over a proposed skate park for Swansea.
